Deep Purple Linen Curtain Panel (1 pcs)

€159,00

Deep purple is the darkest shade we dye linen in, and it behaves more like a neutral than the name suggests. In daylight it reads close to charcoal with a warm cast; after dark it settles into something nearer to plum. It holds a wall without the flatness that a true black brings to a window.

Made from 100% softened European linen in a heavyweight 260 g/m² weave, this curtain filters daylight rather than blocking it, and falls in deeper folds than a midweight cloth. The fabric softens with every wash.

If you value natural materials, durability and the understated elegance of quiet luxury, this linen curtain is made for you. Every piece begins as a design, inspired by a family tradition of Lithuanian linen passed down through generations.

  • Material: 100% softened European linen, heavyweight 260 g/m².
  • OEKO-TEX® certified fabric: Tested for harmful substances.
  • Origin: Cut and sewn by hand in our workshop in Lithuania, European Union.
  • Hanging: Multifunctional heading tape, 8.5 cm deep. Can be hung as rod pocket, pinch pleat, pencil pleat or eyelet style. Compatible with standard curtain rods and rails.
  • Features: Breathable, thermoregulating and light filtering.
  • Care: Machine washable, pre-shrunk and easy to maintain.
  • Includes: 1 linen curtain panel. Rod and rings not included.

Like all natural linens, colours photographed in natural light may appear slightly different at your home depending on your screen settings and lighting conditions. Not sure about the shade? Order fabric samples before you decide.

Linen Care Instructions

Washing

Wash linen at 40°C / 100°F to prevent shrinkage and preserve the fabric. Higher temperatures may cause shrinkage of up to 10% and weaken the fibers. Use a mild detergent and select a gentle cycle. Do not overload the washing machine.

Detergent

Avoid harsh powder detergents. A mild liquid detergent is recommended. Oxygen-based bleach may be used for white linen items to maintain brightness.

Drying

Remove linen items while they are still slightly damp to prevent over-drying, which can cause stiffness and wrinkles. Tumble dry on low heat and avoid overloading the dryer.

Ironing

Linen can be ironed for a crisp, neat appearance. For best results, iron inside out while slightly damp. The natural wrinkled texture of linen is also part of its charm and does not require ironing.

With proper care, your linen garments will remain beautiful and comfortable for many years.

Questions About This Product

How many curtain panels do I get in this listing?

One panel. Most windows need two panels or more, so check how many you are ordering before you check out.

How much curtain width do I need for my window?

Measure the rod rather than the window, then order panels adding up to about twice that width. Gathering is what gives linen its folds, so a 118" (300 cm) rod looks right with two panels of 118" (300 cm) each rather than one.

What length should I order — should the curtains reach the floor?

That is a matter of taste, and both finishes are common. Panels that stop about ¾–1½" (2–4 cm) above the floor look neat, hang cleanly and stay out of the way of vacuuming. Panels cut long enough to rest on the floor give a softer, more romantic look, with the extra fabric pooling slightly at the hem. Measure from the point where the panel will hang down to the floor, then choose the length that matches the finish you want.

Does this panel come with heading tape or hooks?

It depends on the heading you choose. Panels with the multifunctional heading tape come with the tape already sewn in. Tie top and tab top panels hang from their own ties or loops and need no tape. Hooks and rings are not included with any heading, so you can match them to your own rod or rail. The heading is named in the product title, and if you are unsure, write to us at home@thelinenvalley.com.

How much light does this fabric weight block?

A single linen panel filters daylight rather than blocking it, softening the light and giving privacy without darkening the room. For more coverage, choose a lined panel, where a second layer of linen is sewn behind the first. For the most, choose a blackout panel, which also holds back heat.

Frequently Asked Questions

DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM SIZES?

Yes, we can produce all our products in custom sizes, except dining chair slipcovers. Please contact us at home@thelinenvalley.com to check prices and timelines.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR COUCH, SECTIONAL, CURTAINS, OR BEDS AND ORDER A CUSTOM SIZE

If you have any questions about measuring a sofa, curtains, or a corner sofa, all information can be found here: How to Measure.
To request a custom size, please email us at home@thelinenvalley.com, and we will calculate the price, production, and delivery times for you.

DO YOU HAVE LINEN FABRIC SAMPLES?

Yes, we recommend purchasing colour swatches of our linen fabrics to see them in person. You can order them here: Fabric Samples.
Please note that natural variations in color may occur when purchasing items of the same color at different times. This is normal for natural materials like linen and can result from differences in dye lots, manufacturing processes, or the inherent qualities of the fabric. For projects where color consistency is crucial, such as matching items within the same room, we recommend checking swatches carefully.

ARE YOUR LINENS OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED?

Our linen is OEKO-TEX® certified and tested for harmful substances.

OEKO-TEX is an independent testing and certification system for textiles. The certification covers the linen fabric itself. Where a product includes a non-linen component, such as the lining in our blackout curtains, that component is not covered by it.
