Frequently Asked Questions
ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS
Where are your products made?
Every piece we sell is handmade, designed, woven, and sewn in Lithuania, European Union, from ethically sourced European linen. Lithuania has a deep-rooted tradition of linen craftsmanship — it is woven into the country's folklore, history, and everyday life.
Are your linens OEKO-TEX® certified?
Our linen is OEKO-TEX® certified and tested for harmful substances. OEKO-TEX is an independent testing and certification system for textiles. The certification covers the linen fabric itself. Where a product includes a non-linen component, such as the lining in our blackout curtains, that component is not covered by it.
Is linen eco-friendly?
Yes — linen is one of the most eco-friendly fabrics available. It is derived from the flax plant, which requires no pesticides and uses significantly less water than cotton. Every part of the flax plant is used — from fabric to linseed oil — and linen is fully biodegradable and recyclable.
Is linen more durable than cotton?
Yes. Linen is approximately 30% stronger than cotton. This is because flax fibers are considerably longer than cotton fibers — and fiber length directly contributes to yarn and fabric strength. Linen becomes even softer and more beautiful with age, far outlasting cotton with a proper care.
Will the colors of my linens match if I order at different times?
Linen is a natural fiber, and color consistency between different orders cannot be guaranteed. Slight variations between production batches are natural and can occur due to differences in growing conditions, humidity, temperature, and the natural fading properties of linen. If color consistency is important — for example, when matching a sofa cover with curtains — we strongly recommend ordering all items together in a single purchase.
Do linen products wrinkle?
Yes — wrinkles are a natural and beautiful part of linen fabric. In fact, they are a sign of quality: pure linen wrinkles more than blended fabrics. If you prefer a smoother look, iron your linen while slightly damp. For everyday use, the natural lived-in texture of linen is part of its charm and requires no ironing.

LINEN CARE
How should I care for my linen products?
Linen care is simple — machine wash at 40°C / 104°F temperature on a gentle cycle with a mild liquid detergent. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners. Tumble dry on low heat and remove while slightly damp. Full care instructions are available in our Linen Care Guide.
Does linen shrink when washed?
Linen may shrink slightly, especially if washed above 40°C / 104°F. Always wash at 40°C / 104°F and tumble dry on low heat to preserve size and shape.
Do you have linen fabric samples?
Yes. We recommend ordering fabric samples before purchasing to see the colours in person. You can order them here: Fabric Samples
