RETURN POLICY

We share our knowledge and experience with every linen piece we create, and we hope you will live with it for a long time. If your order does not meet your expectations, we will gladly take it back.
Order Cancellations
An order can be cancelled until it has been dispatched. Sign in at account.thelinenvalley.com, open the order and request the cancellation there, or write to us at home@thelinenvalley.com. No cancellation fee applies.
Once an order has been dispatched it cannot be cancelled, and the return procedure below applies instead. Custom-size orders that have entered production cannot be cancelled.
This does not affect the statutory right of withdrawal held by customers in the European Union, which is described at the end of this page.
Return Conditions
Products can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of receipt. The return package must be shipped back within this 30-day period. This 30-day window is our own policy and applies worldwide. Customers in the European Union additionally hold a statutory right of withdrawal during the first 14 days, described at the end of this page.
To be eligible for a return or exchange, items must be:
- Unused, unwashed and in their original condition
- With all original tags and labels attached
- In their original packaging or equivalent packaging of similar dimensions
Complete sets and bedding sets cannot be refunded if they are incomplete.
Refunds
Refunds are issued for the full selling price, excluding original shipping costs and any applicable taxes. There are two exceptions to this: where the item is defective or incorrect, and where a customer in the European Union exercises the statutory right of withdrawal described below. In both cases the original standard delivery charge is refunded.
The refund will be returned to your original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to be processed. Once we receive the returned goods, we will notify you by email.
We do not charge restocking fees, and no handling or administrative charge is deducted from your refund.
Return Shipping
The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or incorrect. We recommend using a tracked delivery service — we are not responsible for items lost during return transit.
If items are damaged during return transit, we will assess the damage and reserve the right to adjust the refund amount accordingly. We will notify you of our assessment within 5 business days of receiving the return.
Customs fees and import taxes are not refundable in case of return.
Non-Returnable Items
We do not accept returns on the following:
- Custom-size orders — products made to individual measurements specified by the customer, including items produced in a colour selected for that specific order
- Linen fabric sold by the metre — cut-to-length fabric orders
- Fabric samples — sample cards and swatches
Defective or Incorrect Items
If you have received an item with a manufacturing defect — such as an incorrect size, incorrect colour, broken seams, open stitches, protruding threads or fabric defects — you are eligible for a full refund including all shipping and handling costs.
Please contact us at home@thelinenvalley.com within 30 days of delivery. For your convenience, we can arrange for a courier to collect the package from your home at no cost.
Please note: Minor colour variation and slight shrinkage are natural characteristics of linen and are not considered manufacturing defects. For more information, please see our Linen Care Guide.
Custom-Size Orders — Corrections
Custom-size orders cannot be returned, but that does not leave you without options.
If the measurements you supplied turn out not to suit your furniture or window, we can often alter the item, provided the dimensions and the construction of the piece you bought allow it. Where an alteration is possible, we share the shipping costs with you: we cover one direction and you cover the other. Any alteration charge is quoted for your approval before work begins.
If the finished item does not match the measurements confirmed on your order, that is a manufacturing fault and the section above applies instead.
How to Return or Exchange an Item
You can request a return from your account. Sign in at account.thelinenvalley.com, open your order and start a return request there. We will confirm by email.
You can also arrange the return by writing to us:
- Contact us at home@thelinenvalley.com with your order number and the items you wish to return
- Indicate the reason for your return — your feedback helps us improve
- We will send you all the information needed to complete the return
EU Right of Withdrawal
If you are purchasing from within the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days of receiving your order, without providing any reason. This right is guaranteed under EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us within 14 days of receiving your goods by contacting us at home@thelinenvalley.com with a clear statement of your decision to withdraw.

You must return the goods within 14 days of notifying us. Under Article 14(1) of Directive 2011/83/EU, the cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
Once we receive your withdrawal request, we will process your refund within 14 days. The refund will cover the full product price and the original standard delivery charge. Additional delivery costs (for example, express shipping) will not be refunded.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the customer's individual specifications (custom-size orders), cut-to-length linen fabric or fabric samples.
