TERMS OF SERVICE
Last updated: 26 August 2026
These Terms and Conditions apply to every order placed with The Linen Valley. By placing an order you confirm that you have read and accepted them. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

2. Placing an Order
To place an order you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement.
When you submit an order, we send you a confirmation email. That email acknowledges receipt; it does not yet form a contract. The contract between us is formed when we send you a dispatch confirmation.
We may decline an order — for example where an item is no longer available or where we cannot deliver to your address. If we decline, we refund any payment in full to the original payment method.
If you notice a mistake in your order after submitting it, please contact us at home@thelinenvalley.com as soon as possible.
3. Prices and Payment
We accept credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and others), PayPal, and Apple Pay and Google Pay where your device supports them. All payments are processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store your card details.
Payment is taken in full when you place your order. The price shown at checkout is the total price of the goods. Delivery is charged separately unless your order qualifies for free shipping. Import duties and taxes outside the European Union are not included — see Article 7.
4. Cancelling Before Dispatch
If you wish to cancel an order, contact us at home@thelinenvalley.com as soon as possible. Where the order has not yet been dispatched, we cancel it and refund you in full.
Once an order has been dispatched it cannot be cancelled, and the return procedure in Article 6 applies instead. Custom-size orders that have already entered production cannot be cancelled.
5. Delivery
Standard-size linens held in stock are dispatched within 1–3 business days. Custom and made-to-order linens are sewn individually and need 3–5 business days of processing before dispatch.
Delivery estimates are counted from dispatch rather than from the date of your order. Every order is dispatched with a tracking number, which we send you by email. Tracking on Standard Shipping is limited outside the European Union.
Delivery times are estimates and we cannot guarantee a firm delivery date. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
Full details are set out in our Shipping & Delivery page.
6. Returns and the Right of Withdrawal
You may return or exchange items within 30 days of receipt, provided they are unused, unwashed and in their original condition with all tags attached. This 30-day window is our own policy and applies worldwide.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you additionally hold a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving a reason, under Directive 2011/83/EU.
Custom-size orders, linen fabric sold by the metre and fabric samples cannot be returned. If an item reaches you with a manufacturing defect, contact us within 30 days of delivery and we refund you in full including shipping.
The full procedure, including how to exercise the right of withdrawal, is set out in our Return Policy page.
7. Duties and Taxes Outside the European Union
Orders delivered outside the European Union may be subject to import duties and taxes charged by the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the customer. We have no control over them, as they vary by country. It is also your responsibility to make sure the goods may lawfully be imported into your country.
8. Custom-Size Orders
Custom-size items are made to the measurements you supply. We confirm those measurements with you before production begins.
Because each piece is cut and sewn for one customer, custom-size orders cannot be returned. Where the measurements turn out not to suit your furniture or window, we can often alter the item if its construction allows, sharing the shipping cost with you and quoting any alteration charge for your approval beforehand.
If a finished item does not match the measurements confirmed on your order, that is a manufacturing fault and Article 6 applies.
9. The Nature of Linen, and Limits of Liability
Linen is a natural fibre. Slight variation in colour between batches, small slubs in the weave and minor shrinkage after the first wash are characteristics of the material rather than defects. Colours may also appear differently on your screen than in daylight.
In performing our obligations under these Terms, our duty is to exercise reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including fire, flood, severe weather, strikes, civil disturbance or the failure of telecommunications systems.
Nothing in this article excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on this site — text, photographs, designs, logos and data — is owned by Linen Valley MB or used under licence. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or publish it without our written consent, and you may not use any trademark shown on this site.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Lithuania. This does not deprive you of the protection granted by the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
If something goes wrong, please write to us first at home@thelinenvalley.com. We reply within 14 days.
If you live in the European Union and our reply does not settle the matter, you may refer the dispute to the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority of the Republic of Lithuania (Valstybinė vartotojų teisių apsaugos tarnyba, www.vvtat.lrv.lt). This out-of-court procedure is free and does not affect your right to bring the matter to court.
Disputes not settled out of court shall be heard by the competent courts of the Republic of Lithuania.
Changes to These Terms
We may amend these Terms. The version published on this page at the time you place your order is the version that applies to that order.
