A colour that looks perfect on a screen can read quite differently against your walls, furniture and natural light. Every swatch is labelled with the fabric width, weight and composition, so you have everything you need to make a confident decision before placing a larger order.

Linen Care Instructions

Washing

Wash linen at 40°C / 100°F to prevent shrinkage and preserve the fabric. Higher temperatures may cause shrinkage of up to 10% and weaken the fibers. Use a mild detergent and select a gentle cycle. Do not overload the washing machine.

Detergent

Avoid harsh powder detergents. A mild liquid detergent is recommended. Oxygen-based bleach may be used for white linen items to maintain brightness.

Drying

Remove linen items while they are still slightly damp to prevent over-drying, which can cause stiffness and wrinkles. Tumble dry on low heat and avoid overloading the dryer.

Ironing

Linen can be ironed for a crisp, neat appearance. For best results, iron inside out while slightly damp. The natural wrinkled texture of linen is also part of its charm and does not require ironing.

With proper care, your linen garments will remain beautiful and comfortable for many years.

Shipping & Returns

Order Processing & Delivery

Standard-size linens held in stock are dispatched within a few business days of your order. Custom and made-to-order linens are sewn individually and need 10–14 business days of processing before dispatch.

Once your order has been dispatched:

  • Courier: 3–5 business days within Europe, 3–7 business days elsewhere
  • National post: available for some destinations, 1–3 weeks

Delivery times are counted from dispatch rather than from the date of your order. Full details: Shipping & Delivery

International Taxes (Outside the European Union)

Orders delivered outside the European Union may be subject to import duties and taxes charged by the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the customer. We have no control over them, as they vary by country. If you need more information, we recommend contacting your local customs office before placing an order.

Return Policy

Products can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of receipt. The return package must be shipped back within this 30-day period.

To be eligible, items must be:

  • Unused, unwashed and in their original condition
  • With all original tags and labels attached
  • In their original packaging or equivalent packaging of similar dimensions

Refunds are issued for the full selling price, excluding original shipping costs and any applicable taxes. Where an item is defective or incorrect, the original delivery charge is refunded as well. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to be processed once we receive the return.

Custom-size orders, linen fabric sold by the metre and fabric samples cannot be returned. Full details: Return Policy

Frequently Asked Questions

DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM SIZES?

Yes, we can produce all our products in custom sizes, except dining chair slipcovers. Please contact us at home@thelinenvalley.com to check prices and timelines.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR COUCH, SECTIONAL, CURTAINS, OR BEDS AND ORDER A CUSTOM SIZE

If you have any questions about measuring a sofa, curtains, or a corner sofa, all information can be found here: How to Measure.
To request a custom size, please email us at home@thelinenvalley.com, and we will calculate the price, production, and delivery times for you.

DO YOU HAVE LINEN FABRIC SAMPLES?

Yes, we recommend purchasing colour swatches of our linen fabrics to see them in person. You can order them here: Fabric Samples.
Please note that natural variations in color may occur when purchasing items of the same color at different times. This is normal for natural materials like linen and can result from differences in dye lots, manufacturing processes, or the inherent qualities of the fabric. For projects where color consistency is crucial, such as matching items within the same room, we recommend checking swatches carefully.

ARE YOUR LINENS OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED?

Our linen is OEKO-TEX® certified and tested for harmful substances.

OEKO-TEX is an independent testing and certification system for textiles. The certification covers the linen fabric itself. Where a product includes a non-linen component, such as the lining in our blackout curtains, that component is not covered by it.
